How in the world do you come up with the idea that America is more socialist? You Really need to expose yourself to something other than AMERICA ONLY THINKING. There is a big wide world out there with billions of other people. They speak other languages, they are creative and have solved problems we have refused to accept as problems. Just a suggestion. India and China and other parts of Asia are bringing 3 Billion new capitalist to the world stage and that frightens the hell out of me. We are no different than ROME. We have eaten up our resources and need to search far and wide and with much expense to gain more. They will become the new empires and eat up the remaining resources. How can we be spending more on our military than all the other countries combined and call ourselves a peaceful and advanced Nation? That is irresponsible and insane. Thomas Jefferson said Life should be for the LIVING. But yet we pass down our debt and our environmental destruction to future generations like it was of no consequence. We instead support the idea that life is for the DEAD. We can't compete with an Indian worker getting $5,000 US dollars a year with an American needing $50,000. The oil companies reported 288 Billion in profits this summer. That is 12 million dollars a minute over a two week period. These companies give 80% of their political contributions to Republicans. Where is the accountability and integrity??? More and more jobs are going overseas cause the CEO's and stockholders only care about Pension plans are being destroyed by companies who have not put back the money necessary to fulfill their promises to their employees. The government restricts citizens from claiming bankruptcy but allow corporations to This government has not been about the people or for the people in many many years. Part of the screwed up liberal village. 2) You penalize Exxon & guess what: the US will produce less energy and import more ---raising costs for everybody and sending up the national debt. 3) America liberals and democrats will eventually see blackouts of oil & gas -- such as natl gas & people will be screaming where is our energy just as they did when gas jumped to $3. The way has to be clear to develop Alaska, coastal areas, build nuclear, develop solar, build refineries, etc. The technology is there today to do it environmentally right. True, but spit on by people buying the liberal media crap. and I will agree the repubs are not too much further along in smarts to fix something; but they are not out there everyday running for prez like Hillary with a stupid press release to show all she is on top of it. Kennedy and the democrats: grab the money from big oil and give to the poor -- wow, that really solves the energy problem -- what a moron. Interesting times when the democrats and the media were quoting Rush Limbaugh to point out Myers was probably not the best choice. Also, foreign countries are becoming more capitalistic as the US becomes more socialist. Which is exactly why they are kicking us on energy and economy.
