Wal-Mart isn't going to lose any money on this. First, they're going to put all the other pharmacies out of business. Second, they're going to sell other stuff to the people going in for their cheap meds. Third, they're going to exact even lower prices from their suppliers to make up the difference...some kid in China is going to eat less to help Wally do this good deed.

Wal-Mart is going to own not only Arkansas, but the country and the rest of the world at the rate it's going. Don't know why anybody thinks that much power in the hands of some money-grubbers is a good thing.

Interesting that Wal-Mart has shocked the world pharmacies, Walgreens, CVS, CostCo, doing what the government can't even bring themselves to discuss, knocked health care companies into re-thinking how they do business by:

Starting in Florida -offering generic medicine to folks at $4 instead of 30. Which is not a big deal to folks making over 50k -but to a lot of people this is a real help. And Wal-Mart employees get to throw in their 10% discount on top of that. A limited start, but I think they may cover my glaucoma generic Xalatan- which costs me 30/mo after health insurance pays the rest.

Leave it to one of the best companies in the world to once again set the standard even though many work against Wal-Mart in any fashion possible out of jealously, political, and socialistic mentality.

Obviously, you don't forever complain and don't like the employees at Wal-Mart and those making less than 50k getting a good deal! Which was expected -- even the NY stock exchange got in the act: suing Wal-Mart for using "their" raging bull in advertising!! Everyone wants a windfall for free out of the King!

You are so wrong on all the other pharmacies. You are still worried about kids in China with their economy leading the world in growth? Lastly, if Wally owned the world -it would be forever peaceful, profitable to all, nuclear free, you would get 10% off all that stuff that you have to live on everyday, the world would be overall better run, and there would be no place for terrorist dictatorships that abuse their own people to run their agenda of hate and will lead to eventual destruction of the US.

anyone that thinks the Geneva Convention ever helped an American soldier that was captured "that actually had real intelligence” is asleep at the wheel, but I suppose this proves George W. Bush can back down from a position that he was actually right on -I have not talked to Gene on this -but I suspect his time spent in intelligence in the Air Force would show reasons to agree with me.

You are acting like Wal-Mart found a cure to Aids and Cancer. I do not think its healthy to hate a growing International company like Wal-Mart but its also not healthy to act like its holy either. It’s a business and it’s trying to make money. You have blind people suing Target because they can’t navigate on their website - Target has their ridiculous lawsuits as well.

Kudos to Wal-Mart for bringing the price of pharmacy down. But to ignore the destructive aspects of their business practices does not make the world a better place. Just keeps you an unquestioning consumer. Not sure why you think keeping them socially and legally responsible is a bad thing.

I am convinced Wal-Mart abducted your body sucked out your brain and replaced it with a series of pro Wal-Mart recordings. I have never heard of such fanaticism about a corporation.

Peaceful and profitable? No where for terrorist to hide? Your idea is that Wal-Mart is so great that it should replace all governing and political structures? I know the world is screwed up but replacing it with a huge warehouse full plastic covered items does not make me think of paradise.

Geneva Convention in the same posting as Wal-Mart. Man you are all over the place. I don't think Wal-Mart is mentioned once in the Geneva Convention but maybe it should be. 'Any prisoner of war should be given mercy and not be forced to shop at Wal-Mart"
