What ever happened to the Cable News Network you know the station called CNN that used to actually bring us the news. They were the only news network on cable but of course now we have their sister Fox News which is not any better.
Fox News which is also known as the Bush Talking points network claims it is fair and balanced but its news people have to comment on everything. Recently, CNN has became so bad that there is no Cable News Network to watch but MSNBC. Well whenever MSNBC is not playing prison shows.
CNN, also known as the Anti-Immigration network, a topic they will not shut up about has an anchor for the Prime Headline News named Mike Galanos. Mike Galanos interviews people and answers their questions with bias before they even get to open their mouth.
This is not news and certainly should not be called Prime news or Headline News. Mike Galanos is nothing but an anchor who is judging others and showing bias and barely reading us the news and facts that we turn to CNN to hear. CNN needs to stop with the tabloid heads and read us the news… maybe bring us more news and facts instead of the pork.

All this time I have been looking for a logo design company who can make a logo that is sexy but only in a subliminal sort of way. Maybe make the consumer think they are really getting laid instead of buying my product that way they will become addicted. I am just kidding of course but that would be a neat concept.
The UK Office of Government Commerce Logo was recently revealed and looks more modern than their old stop light looking design. It has been upgraded with a rock solid… new design that appeals to the younger generation maybe?
Here it is and if you do not see the fun in the new logo then tilt your head to the side. You may see things pop out that you did not intend to see. I would tilt it for you but you can turn your head to the left some on your own.

The hit song from from Rihanna “Please Don’t Stop The Music,” could not have came at a better time.
The FCC is supposed to vote on the XM Sirius Merger soon and there is absolutely no reason this should be stopped. It is true they are competitors but the competition they face is much more worrisome and they need a combined company to survive. Look at the stock prices and you can get a bitter taste of what I am talking about.
I recommend everyone write or call their reps to help get this merger through. I wrote a letter through the Yahoo version of Capwiz.com which can send a email or written letter just by a few clicks of the mouse. The letter was regarding this merger to Sen. Byron Dorgan, a high-ranking member of the Senate Commerce Committee, who wrote to the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission saying the agency should not follow the “illogical” decision of the Justice Department.
I am a registered democrat and small business owner in North Texas. I am proud to be a democrat but when it comes to mergers and taxes for some reason you just do not get it.
I used to work in radio for Clear Channel and made horrible wages there. They are the monopoly of radio and they want this merger stopped just like you do. I noticed Jim Cramer pointing out both democrats and republicans that are being lobbied to stop this merger. It is sad that such a great merger cannot go through. This merger is taking longer than Exxon and Mobil. That is ridiculous.
I have to pay both Sirius and XM radio and pay for two separate devices because I have channels on both that I enjoy listening to. Besides my personal problem with these companies not being together there is one major problem… reduced competition. They have the possibility of going bankrupt and making way for Clear Channel Radio and CBS Radio to take over.
You need to get in touch with what the people want. Your voters. American’s who believe in free business. The people want the XM Sirius Merger. Please do not let us down.

Something I really could care less about. All you see on the local and national news today is the endless going on and on about the Pope’s visit to the U.S. The media acts like God himself is walking around and meeting George Bush at the airport. Are they trying to convert everyone over to Catholicism?
Get over it… There are bigger things going on in the world besides the Papal visit but I guess it is a slow news day. Although the Democratic Debate took place in Philadelphia today with Hillobama. From the looks of it ABC really took aim at Obama in a tabloid kind of way. Just like the media going on about the Pope the media cannot seem to stick to the issues of the presidential race. It’s the issues that count not the silly tabloid personal junk that keeps being thrown out.
Thank God for Tivo that I can fast-forward past the Pope’s appearances.

You know you have hit the big time when you are all over mainstream media. There is that tipping point of an action or word that gets you to that huge place. I think she has hit the big time now but I am not sure if it was the right way to do it. I am not even sure if her career can go up from here.
I remember listening to Randi Rhodes on Air America when it was on the radio here in Dallas, TX. We got to her voice her hate of the Bush Administration and she made some really good points.. so many good points that I became addicted to listening to her. It even eased the traffic when I would travel to Los Angeles listening to her show. She used to complain how hard it was to get on shows such as Larry King Live but now she has made it big and im sure it was no chore now.
I understand now she is working for a Clear Channel Station just minutes after Rush Limbaugh and living in the same city as Rush and Ann Coulter. Maybe these people deserve each other.. the far right and far left. My opinion of Randi Rhodes is not the same after her mean comment about Hillary Clinton. She needs to zip it. I am glad she is in good company with Rush. Maybe they have have puppies when he takes his Viagra. Maybe Miss. Coulter will join in?
I think she should apologize to Hillary. I do not plan on listening to her new syndicated show on Nova M Radio unless she does apologize.

I was at the hair salon earlier today while I was talking to an employee of American Airlines when the news came on TV that they had canceled 1,000 flights. We talked about how the high paid Airline executives keep getting these outrageous paydays while the employees slave away and the passengers fly with their fingers crossed. American Airlines can cut costs by reducing staff severely to such levels that we have seen this problem get worse and worse. They have even reduced the number of flights, reduced the amenities abroad, and made us fly on old airplanes that are outdated such as the Frankenstein Super 80’s.
Yes, these MD-80’s are the Frankensteins of the sky. These old aircraft will never see the day of Wifi and do not even offer in-flight video or radio. Lord forbid them offer XM or Sirius radio onboard. That just aint’ gonna happen.
Even the first class passengers of the Super 80’s get no TV’s or radios to listen to. I feel like I am riding on some aircraft from a third world country and now that I hear that the wires are all tangled up and ready to short out and cause an explosion that even makes American less attractive to fly.
Continental had a bright idea several years ago to do something like UM… buy new airplanes. Buying new airplanes not only saves the airlines on gas costs but it is an investment in your business future. How could the nations biggest airline not be investing in its future? Because its putting too much money into executives that aren’t doing anything for the company. Spending too much time battling Southwest Airlines and Love Field? Something has to explain how American is such a disappointment.
I live near DFW so I am monopolized by American Airlines so I do care about their future. I certainly do not have the choice to fly on relaxing airline such as Virgin America.
Maybe Exxon will use all that money they are not investing in alternative oil and buy American Airlines. All that cash sitting in Exxon’s bank. Isn’t American their biggest customer with the gas guzzling Super 80’s anyway?
I am sure American will pick up from this and return to it’s normal self again.

Here it is Tax season and the biggest deadline of the year for some is April 15th. You get home from driving down the toll road to pull in your drive way of a home that was heavily property-taxed to death. The last thing you would expect is a new sneaky business tax from the state of Texas.
The only thing that Republicans are good for is “no new taxes” or “reducing taxes”. What most people do not know is that they are all lies coming from the same crop of nasty politicians. They are darn-right lying to us hard working business owners.
Texas used to care about small business owners and offered some of the lower tax rates. There are no state income taxes but if you own a business you are subject to employment taxes among the new Texas Franchise Tax or Texas Margin Tax which will effect around 1 million businesses.
We already pay thousands in property taxes. Texas is one of the worst in the nation for property taxes. I pay for Plano and Collin county property taxes at a total of $8k or so a year. A retired person with no income could certainly not afford that outrageous tax.
Do I really need to pay more to the state of Texas? Am I paying for the Republican legislatures to goto lunch and Church or what exactly am I paying for? I know most the roads near me are all TOLL Roads. It certainly is not going to rebuild I-35 to Austin which needs major help! I know its not going to the schools because I we already pay for every kid in town to goto school through the property taxes. So where is this money going??
Who is eating our lunch in Texas?
Gov. Rick Perry is responsible for signing this expanded Business Tax Law into legislation. He is one of the people who went around bragging how he would not raise taxes during his election.
Are you Texans still going to vote Republican in November knowing that you have been lied to about higher taxes? Think about it.

Come on… it’s the new American Way to feel like the CEO of Exxon to take welfare out of everyone else’s pocket and put it in your own. Who cares about the American Economy we should just make sure everyone is on food stamps. Let’s make these food stamps flashy and look like credit cards so they can be sexy looking and people will be on them forever. People will never get off their food stamp addiction because they will have no embarrassment of using them in public.
We should all get on food stamps and see how fast we can take down the American Economy. Or wait its already wrecked anyway so we wont feel so bad right?
Seriously, these Food stamp cards do not even say the words “food stamp” on them. I think it is ridiculous that we are just giving away taxpayer money so people can go parading around with flashy credit cards. There are even advertisements airing on TV and radio where you can hear a conversation of people basically bragging of using food stamps making it sound cool. It is not cool… it is getting money for doing nothing and should only be used as a temporary source of “help” while trying to feed your family in rough times or times such as a layoff.
I think its fine that food stamps are now electronic but they should say the word “food stamps” on them. I am not saying they should be the Scarlet Letter but there should be an indication to people they are a temporary thing and a last resort.

What has happened to the Countdown with Keith Olbermann who used to have a good, quality show? The MSNBC show has not turned into a big Obama commercial just going on and on about Hillary’s campaign mistakes.
What about Ron Paul? You never hear a glitch of Ron Paul mentioned on Countdown. I am having to turn over to Glen Beck just to get the other side of the story. I think the programming over at MSNBC needs to wake up to the rest of the world out there.
One major thing that Countdown did not mention was the Sally Kern scandal in Oklahoma City. Countdown you would have though could have mentioned her as one of the World’s Worst Persons but there was NO mention of Sally Kerns… you know the lady (not very lady-like) who referred to Gays as Terrorists.
I expect the Faux News folks or the CNN Immigration Channel not to mention Sally Kerns but why has MSNBC not even mentioned it. It makes me wonder what other news we are missing out on because of their anti-Hillary parade. From now on I will just tivo Countdown and fast forward through any mentions of Obama or Hillary. I plan on just watching Countdown for the Odd Ball and the World’s Best Persons then switch the TV off and not rely on any of these non-stop talking heads.
