The rap world is normally not silent when it comes to politics but this new song from Lupe Fiasco really rips through some though provoking lyrics. He calls Glen Beck a racist and even goes after Rush Limbaugh. There are some good points to Lupe Fiasco’s lyrics such as drinking diet coke will kill brain cells and that being too silent is sometimes a bad thing. While I admire some of the lyrics I do wish he would have not said that violence is better than silence because nothing is better than overall Peace and Love. We must find a way to find Peace and Freedom without using violence. Some of the other problems I had is that it seems he is accusing 9/11 of being a conspiracy? Or am I misunderstand that lyric? We can all agree with him on watching TV and too much jersey shore relationship silliness is a waste of time and we should learn more about the real things in life.

My favorite lyrics to the song are “Jihad is not a holy war, wheres that in the worship? Murdering is not Islam!”. It kind of throws the hate back in the face of these people like the Taliban or Al Qaeda claiming they are having some big Holy War.

You know this is a popularly contested race for the White House when you have politicians using celebrities to make their own points.  When Senator John McCain (Arizona) used Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in his latest commercial it started a buzz like no other.  Paris Hilton has since made her own video to retaliate against the old-white-haired-wrinkly man that we know as McCain.

My favorite part about this video with Paris Hilton is that she actually came up with a better solution than the Republicans have came up with when it comes to solving our dependency on foreign oil.  Basically, she came up with Obama’s suggestion or somewhat close to the idea.  Here is the video.

I just noticed on CNN that these news anchors were endlessly commenting on Lindsey Lohan’s wreck and possible DUI.  I am not sure why everyone is so infatuated with Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, and Paris Hilton.  It is not just infatuation but its a media driving them to act the way they do.  The paparazzi following them around like they are our pets.  Of course, most people are just wanting to see them fall just like the same audience that watches the hockey games to watch fights or doom for someone else’s life.

Lindsey Lohan’s dad and other people are calling for her to go to a faith based rehab.  Nothing could be more silly than that.  I mean all of our tax money is already going to these faith based programs that really do nothing but try to convert people to join their lifestyles or cults.

The media is also commenting of how we should keep more eyes on the clubs in Hollywood.  Most of the clubs there are 18 to enter but the underage drinkers are sneaking in drinks or are drinking before hand.  This is not the clubs fault.  It should be 18 to drink anyway.  It is silly we make it 21 to drink and you can let 16 year olds behind the wheel of a hummer while dvd’s are playing.

Maybe all of this celebrity drinking and driving has something to do with the release of the Amy Winehouse’s song about going to rehab.
