The environment is a biggie debate issue. I have worked for an energy
company for since I got out of college, so I feel somewhat close to the
issues. There is a coal plant 10 miles NE of our town and also one
60 miles in the direction of Tulsa. The government should give tax credits to individuals who help the environment
by driving cool vehicles that get 50mpg, and tax (earmarked for energy One of the bigger factors in causing the September 11 attack was the stupid liberal attitude of so many politicians, hollywood, media, judges, juries, and so on--who protect the guilty under the guise of the rights of the individual, who represent corporate America as the bad guy, who represent the environment out of the perspective of easy solutions, takes God out of schools, made the OJ trial a racial/financial/publicity stunt and circus ignoring the facts, burning the symbols of freedom that so many Americans sacrificed their lives for, and so on.... The environment would already be a mute issue if Bin Laden or any of the other Hate Religions had nuclear weapons. Their religious mission is to remove America from the world. They would not have hesitated to use nuclear bombs to take out American cities, even at the cost of the nuclear fallout making the world environmentally un-fit for humans to survive. I love the environment and America as much as anyone, and I would like America to be around a few more years. Your health and future depend on the support and leadership that you give America. If Alaska is taken over by a new country, they would wreck the environment taking out the resources of alaska --American companies are the best in the world at addressing environmental issues. Saddam Hussein leaving Kuwait left over 500 oil wells burning for months before they could be put out doing irreparable damage to the environment. Why should Cadillac not make an SUV with a 500hp engine when there is no incentive for the American public to drive smaller vehicles? One good solution is tax credits for cool environmental vehicles with taxes earmarked to go directly to large/small corporations to invest in research to help the environment. Everybody take care, I promise not to get on my soap box too often!! Hello from La La Land, ...who represent corporate America as the bad guy, who represent the environment out of the perspective of easy solutions, takes God out of schools.... America corporations are for the most part shallow entities. They manipulate
a mindset that allows them to profit at the expense of wise and sustainable
living. We are drowning in unneeded gadgets and capitalistic notions of
success. They have justified their creations and marketplace ideologies
by telling us that we are free to choose what to buy, but they dominate
our political systems by throwing money at any attempt to stop reform.
A case in point is the Pharmaceutical companies. We have a massive war
on drugs in this country. Or I should say a war on certain drugs. These
companies have steered doctors into selling drugs to the people. Doctors
are no longer individuals with wisdom and care as their main objective,
but have been reduced to drug dealers. They can only know what the Pharmaceutical
companies tell them to prescribe. Yet, a simple plant like marijuana is
labeled as a dangerous drug. A drug that does not show up on any lists
of casualties associated with fatalities due to drug abuse. The textile
industries waged a war on marijuana in the early part of the twentieth
century not because it was bad for the American people, but because it
would threaten their industry (Cotton for example). The car industry has
benefited greatly from their dependence on oil consumption and because
their lobbyist and political ties are so strong we as a nation have been
under the same tyrannical spell. Now we are leaders in the research, development
and production of genetically modified foods. Why? Because it is good
for us? No! The next issue I have with your e-mail is your concern for God in the
schools. I am a teacher and I understand how difficult it is in teaching
relevant information to children. The problem I have with God in the school
is whose god will be taught. We live in America. The land of the religious
free. How do you teach a concept that has caused more wars than any force
on the planet. God is an abstract. Christians modified their views on
god from those who came before them. They stole ideas and stories much
like screenwriters in hollywood. Teaching god is not only impractical
but impossible. Do you teach creationism and deny the scientific discoveries
of the last century? Our forefathers had a great vision. It wasn't complete. That is why we are here, to carry the torch. -VeganGuy, Independent |
