Obama for President!I've about decided I prefer Obama. Something I heard recently described Hillary as a "corporate Democrat" and it struck a chord, it seemed to sum up everything that's been at the back of my mind, worrying me about her. I'm afraid that she, like Bill Clinton, will be middle-of-the-road Democrats again who just preserve the status quo and lack the will to make the deep-rooted changes our country needs. From what I've seen of Obama, I think he has more of a willingness to color outside the lines than Hillary. I've also come to really admire the message that John Edwards is sending out. I think he really is serious about making the country different for working people and I think he's got that as his major priority. I don't think, however, that he's got a real chance at the nomination. I do have to say this about Hillary...she continues to be the strongest sounding of the candidates...the one who the Republicans really would not want to mess with in a debate. I'd love to see any of the Repunks try to beat her in a debate...she'll wipe the floor with them. I know, it's hard to say what any of the candidates really stand for or will really do in this era of sound bites and press agents. And there's certainly a lot of time to change my mind ten times over between now and the actual nominations. As if what I care is going to make any difference anyway. -Donald, OH |
